A life-long learner and educator, Carleen has dutifully served in the field of education for over twenty-five years. She is the recipient of multiple Teacher of the Year Awards on the local and district levels. In addition, she is a licensed administrator and performs multiple duties to improve student engagement. Carleen holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Old Dominion University, as well as an Education Specialist degree (Ed. S.) from Argosy University. She is currently in the final stages of obtaining her Doctorate from Liberty University. She is the mother of Natalie, a college student, and Nathaniel, a high school senior. In her spare time, she enjoys singing and volunteering. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves as the chairperson for the Arts and Technology Committees.
Chanel Alford was a CTE teacher for 12 years before becoming a technology integration specialist. In addition to being a multiple CTE Teacher of the Year Award recipient, Chanel is one of the recipients of the 2019 COSN NextGen: Emerging EdTech Leader National Awards. Chanel holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Old Dominion University, as well as an Education Specialist degree (Ed. S.) from Liberty University. She loves presenting at national conferences, technological gadgets, reading, volunteering, and music. Chanel is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She also currently serves as a proud VSTE Board Member and is completing a tech internship with Cysecsol, LLC.
Hattie B. Alford is a retired employee of Philip Morris, USA. She was the loving wife of Carl Alford for 54 years. She serves on several boards at her church, and enjoys mathematics, reading, researching current events, and traveling. She is a proud mother and grandmother.
